New Study Says Male Infertility Linked to Ibuprofen Use

A new study published yesterday in the medical journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences said that men who take ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil et al) have reduced fertility.  To read the full article, click here.

The study further said that the consequences from long-term use may not be reversible.

However, male infertility is a fairly common condition, affecting 15% of couples worldwide.  One recent study said that men are responsible for 30-50% of these cases.

There are many treatment options for infertile males or couples, including egg donation and surrogacy.
