Surrogate Requirements
Everything you need to become a surrogate
If you are exploring your options to become a gestational carrier (a woman who carries a child for someone else and has no genetic tie to the child whatsoever) please be aware that qualified candidates for gestational surrogacy should meet the following criteria:
- Be between 21 and 42 years of age
- Height and weight in proportion (BMI 30 or below)
- Healthy physical condition
- Non-smoker
- Have demonstrated uncomplicated pregnancy(s) and delivery(ies)
- Free of sexually transmitted diseases
- Not dependent on government assistance
- Must pass criminal background verifications
Surrogacy is very diverse from state to state and case by case. The first steps are qualifying you as a candidate to determine if you are eligible to become a gestational carrier. If we do find that you are a qualified candidate and ready to begin this journey we will invite you to complete a full application. There is a step-by-step qualification process before we take your time on an 8-page detailed profile. You will speak directly with a live person EVERY time you email or fill in a response to us.
Once you qualify, we want to find out more about you and establish your top goals for becoming a carrier. Setting realistic expectations is our specialty. All cases are unique and no two journeys are alike. Everything will be discussed in great detail. There will be no obligation to proceed if you should feel we are not the right fit to work together for any reason. We will not share any identifying information with the intended parent(s) until a match is solidified.
This initial inquiry and the steps that will follow are important parts of the building foundation. Please carefully complete the application, and be honest and open with your answers. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at mindy@newbornadvantage.com any time.
I am always happy to share information and my passion for a very special industry that I am so privileged to serve.
